Rodney "Rod" McLain (born September 20, 1960) is an American sprint canoer who competed in the mid to late 1980s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he earned his best finish of fifth in the C-2 1000 m event at Los Angeles in 1984. He graduated from law school, and today he teaches history at The Governor's Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts. At this position he teaches his students, whom he commonly mocks, insults, and renames, about the role of aliens in history as well as the funny jokes and memes hidden in ancient texts. He also coaches football and hockey there with mild success. His JV hockey team has been very successful in recent years posting a 16-1 record in 2014. He has had many rising stars on the team in the past few years. His current JV Football has run through their ISL schedule with a roster full of versatility and an offensive weapon. He looks forward to a quality season at the helm of JV Hockey, with a quality team and a solid manager. ==References==
